I have signed the tenancy agreement to rent a flat for 3 years

Resolved Question:

I have signed the tenancy agreement to rent a flat for 3 years and due to go and pay the deposit/1st months rent tomorrow and pick up keys Sat. However I have just been offered a job abroad - can I pull out now or am I liable already for 3 years rental?

Alex Watts : If you have not signed a contract then yes you can pull out.
Alex Watts : If you have signed a contract no you can't pull out.
Alex Watts : If the landlord has signed it you are stuck. If the landlord has not signed it then you are ok
Alex Watts : So you need to know
Alex Watts : Either party can pull out at any time up to the point both parties have signed it
Alex Watts : Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?

I have signed the contract - I dont know about the Landlord....

But I assume if I enquire about that the Landlord will immediately sign it
