I own a Buy To Let property, the tenants absconded in June,

Resolved Question:

I own a Buy To Let property, the tenants absconded in June, only midway through a year's tenancy contract which did not have a break clause.
Are the tenants still liable for the council tax for that period they absconded until the time I am able to relet the property? It has been vacant since they absconded and still vacant now.
