My landlord has given me 2 months notice to vacate which would

Customer Question

My landlord has given me 2 months notice to vacate which would be on 25 January, But they are still saying I need to give then a months notice if I am moving out within the period of notice the landlord has given me - this to me makes no sense. So I would have multiple penalties;
1. Having to move house
2. They would retain the rest of the December rent, even if I were to move out in the stated notice given by you
3. £90 fee for breaking the contract you have already broken by giving me notice to vacate
My current contract is due to end on the 7th Feb
Can you please help - is this right - legal
