A LANDLORD TOOK £300 DEPOSIT FOR A PROPERTY SECURITY AT A RENTAL PRICE AND THEN CHANGEDTHE RENTAL PRICE TO INCLUDE A HIGHER AMOUNT WHICH I COULD NOT PAY. HE THEN KEPT MY DEPOSIT AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TAKE THE PROPERTY . IS THIS LEGAL AND WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MY £300 BACK AS HE RECINDED ON THE VERBAL AGREEMENT. NO PAPERS WERE SIGNED AND HE TOOK THE CASH AND PROVIDED A SCRAPPY PAPER RECEIPT TO SAY HE RECEIVED THE CASH. WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS TO RECEIVE TH MONEY BACK.?
