If my landlord forfeits my commercial lease because of two months arrears am I liable for remaining 8 months of the lease.I am in the republic of Ireland.

My lease has nothing specific about this.I would have presumed if they cancel the lease with immediate effect that I would only owe arrears until the time they forfieted it .

Yes. Unless your lease says you are liable for the empty period and re-leasing costs then you are only liable up to the period you occupied it.

So unless it says otherwise you are liable up to the date they took it back.

If your landlord wanted to claim back the period until it was re-let then the lease would have specified and included this.
