I entered into a contract with a builder to buy a home. My circumstances changed and I want to cancel the contract. The builders are refusing to allow me withdraw from the contract although the home is not yet built. What are my rights?

What does the contract say about termination please?

it says; 'In the event that the purchasers do validly send a cancellation notice on the seller, then the missives will be terminated with immediate effect'

the purchasers shall have no obligation to purchase the subjects and the sellers shall have no obligation to sell the subjects to the purchaser

Does it say how long that period is?

No it does not. The entry date for the property referred as to as 'Trigger date' in the missives was 1st July. I gave notice of cancellation via the conveyancing firm in may.
