As a standing Tenant the original AST has been extended

Resolved Question:

As a long standing Tenant the original AST has been extended annually requesting two months written notice --- the Lease Extension expires Dec 03, and, a further 12 months has been offerered -- if I don't accept the new extension do I still have to give two months written notice ?

makes no difference. The Housing Act says 2 months notice. It doesn’t just end. it runs over into periodic.

So two months by Law.
