I have a Sony DVD player attached to my TV. I also have a commercial DVD that I have played on it many times but now, all of a sudden, it refuses to play the disc. I can play other discs without a problem and to make sure that it was not a fault with the disc I purchased another copy but again it will not play. Can you help?

- Can you please clean that particular disc with soft cotton cloth and check it in player?
- Have you tried to clean laser lens of player with lens cleaning disc that might got clogged?

Why should I have to do this when I know it works OK as have played other discs on it?

Derek,

We are trouble shooting to sort out the cause of problem, since player playback other discs then it should play this particular disc too but it doesn't, already tried to clean disc and laser lens that didn't help so reset is an option that comes in mind to try. It may or may not help to resolve the problem and I'm sorry there is no definite answer for such problem until we find out the reason of problem.
If you want to proceed, please go ahead to reset the player or post back so I'll opt out to open the question for other online member's input on this question.
