To clarify, you have plugged he Youview into the BT Router and the TV into the Youview, but the TV displays no signal from the Youview box.

Is this correct?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Expert:  Richard replied 3 years ago.
ok, you need a HDMI cable as this connected the Youview to the TV.

How far are they apart? As then I can find you the correct cable

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I have connected the hdmi cable as per the guide book and I am receiving all freeview channels but need to know what I require to receive youview as my t.v. and browser are on different floors of the house

What do you mean with Browser George?

Can you clarify this please?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

bt home hub

Expert:  Richard replied 3 years ago.
Thats your internet Modem

Do you mean you want to view the Youview via your computer?

Expert:  Richard replied 3 years ago.
Do you mean George, how to connect the Youview to the BT Hub?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

is the hub a browser? the distance is to far to run a cable between t.v. and hub. I just want to know what I need to receive youview

Expert:  Richard replied 3 years ago.
Yes, the Hub is the browser, but it is called a router (sorry it is confusing).

I know now what you need.

What you require are is these two devices.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-PA411KIT-AV500-Powerline-Adapter/dp/B0084Y9N3O

One of them plugs into the BT Hub, and then into the power socket.

It allows the signal to run over the power lines in your house.

The other one you plug upstairs, where the Youview Box is, into a power socket, then the network cable from it into the Youview Box.

This will allow you to send the signal from the BT Hub to the Youview, anywhere in the house.
