Humax PVR - 9300T - has suddenly stopped playing back recorded

Customer Question

Humax PVR - 9300T - has suddenly stopped playing back recorded programs.
It will play back programs recorded a few days ago without any trouble.
Programs recorded yesterday and today show up on Recorded schedule but when trying to get them to play back - the small screen shows black with Exit appearing briefly.
Recording a program while it is being screened will play back fine.
Have not tried to do anything yet - other than checking all leads and connections seem to be secure.
Can you help - please.

Welcome
Thanks Question

OK with these Humax products we have to follow a procedure of steps so we begin by rebooting the unit by unplugging the unit from wallpower waiting 5 mins then replugging the unit back in again let me know if their is any change

The problem is the unit has developed a glitch in the firmware you will need to do a reset of the unit by doing this

  1. Press the MENU button.
  2. Select Installation using the up/down arrow buttons and press the OK button.
  3. Enter PIN using the NUMERICAL (0-9) buttons.
  4. Select Default Setting using the arrow buttons and press the OK button.
  5. Select Yes and press the OK button to restore all settings to Factory Default.
  6. Confirm again to start loading default settings. Enter PIN using the NUMERICAL (0-9) button to perform restoring.
  7. When completing the Default Setting Installation, press the OK button to automatically run the Installation Wizard.

Now this will reset the unit as though it came out of the box so you will need to retune, make another recording and check again (your previous recordings may not be good)

Let me know the result

Success - I followed your instructions to reset and retune unit and have made two new recordings.

The new recordings play back normally.

The recordings made before the glitch are still fine.

Thank you very much.
