I want to first rule out residue power as the cause of this.
Can you remove the power to the Toshiba and wait 15 minutes
Then turn the power on, and tell me please if you still have the problem.
Let me know the results please

Thanks
The sound board is then shorting out. It starts up, then a capacitor is shorting and the sound fails. Then when it discharges it can hold a small charge again. It will like stop working altogether soon.
This can be caused by residue power but we have now ruled this out.
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the unit to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.
