Any good news, please?

You need to get the unit into engineers service mode

You get into service mode by doing this>>>

When the power is off that is unit actually ON but in the OFF MODE press VHS to DVD copying the OPEN /CLOSE and STOP buttons all simultaneous for 5 seconds on the unit itself you will see SERV in the window of the unit then press 9 then 9 again you should then see CLR switch the unit off then back on again

That process should rid you of the error code let me know if there is any issues

A positive rating is appreciated thank you

Regards
Anthony

Did you get the SERV in the window of the machine?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

No, we tried everything but U80 keeps staying there.

You dont understand you NEED to get the unit into that mode
Expert:  info tech replied 2 years ago.
So you have made a mistake doing the procedure
Expert:  info tech replied 2 years ago.
The U80 wont go until you get the unit configured into SERV in the window
Expert:  info tech replied 2 years ago.
Its an engineers code its not meant to be entered by the user
Expert:  info tech replied 2 years ago.
So as I explained earlier the unit has to be in the OFF mode do you know what I mean by that?

Are you coming back to this please?

So Emma after your frantic efforts to get info, coming back an hour later on the dot, I go out of my way to get you the info and now silence??I would have to assume then that the procedure did work and you simply wont come back................
