Resolved Question:

We have a HUMAX HDR-FOX T2 FOR THE PAST 2 DAYS WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO RECORD ANY PROGRAMS, ACCESS OUR SAVED RECORDINGS OR FAST FOREWORD, HOD OR 'GO BACK'
WHEN I CLICK ON MENU, AND THEN CLICK ON VIDIO TO ACCESS RECORDINGS, IT JUST GOES BACK TO THE CURRENT PROGRAM, IN 'SETTINGS, 'RECORDING' AND 'DATA STORAGE ARE 'GREYED OUT'
I HAVE TRIED REINSTALLING, NO DIFFERENCE, CAN YOU HELP PLEASE?

As the box is 6 years old, the hard drive inside the box has likely failed, and it will need to be replaced.

A local electronics or computer repair shop will be able to replace it for you.

What started the problem, we suddenly couldn’t get the printed news reports on BBC1 and BBC News 24, ( usually we click on Red Button to get them) I clicked on ‘Media’ and they came on. but we couldn’t get into ‘ Video’ on the Main Menu’ When I press ‘Media’ now, nothing happens!
The Disc is only about 1/2 full.
We have Netflix, through a dongle, it works OK, but I have wondered, when we last came out of Netflix, we have press the wrong button and changed or not changed the 'Source’
Both 'Video and Data Storage’ are greyed out.
We also cannot ‘hold’ a program, or ‘go back’ when watching a program
When we switch on, there is momentarily a red light on the Human box, then a blue one

Hi Margery,

The symptoms you are experiencing all indicate a problem with the internal hard drive - this is a common fault mode on these boxes.

Even though it is only half full, it can fail at any time.

The internal hard drive will need to be replaced.

A local electronics or computer repair shop will be able to replace it for you.
