Under Scots Law, can I withdraw a witness statement?

Thank you for your question.

You can amend a witness statement or clarify it but you can't withdraw it without risk of either being charged with wasting police time, or, if you withdraw it in the witness box, perjury.

Happy to discuss further.

I hope this helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.
