My new contract says I started my new position on 1st April

Customer Question

My new contract says I started my new position on 1st April this year, but my 6 month probationary period says I start on 1st June. Is this legal.

Hello - my name is Leanne and it will be my pleasure to assist you today.

Its not illegal if that is what you are asking.

But if you are on a probation period this would be from the date you actually started not some future date, unless of course there had been some problems and they sought the need to put you on probation.

But its not illegal in the strict sense of the word.

If I can assist further then please let me know.
