What happens if a juror or potential juror refuses to stand

Resolved Question:

What happens if a juror or potential juror refuses to stand when a judge or sheriff enters the court?

Thank you for your question.

Theoretically the person could be found in contempt of the court and fined or jailed. Realistically the judge or sheriff will ignore the person as being simply disrespectful and get on with the more important court business.

I hope this helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.
