what other information do you need

Expert:  JGM replied 2 years ago.
Thank you for your question.
Convictions, warnings or cautions will not necessarily preclude you from appointment to the police in Scotland. It will depend on their nature and the circumstances of the offence. Failure to disclose convictions or cautions will, however, result in your application being terminated.
You must declare the conviction therefore and the seriousness will be considered as well as how long ago it was. A minor assault would be unlikely to affect the application especially if you pled guilty at the outset.
Happy to discuss further.
I hope this helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.
