I have a Macalister 125cc lawnmower. The drive is now constantly

I have no manual on the mower, but the wire from the handle has to pull the transmission lever to disengage it. Lever is spring loaded to keep transmission in gear.

Does the wire move at the transmission, or could it be broken in the casing?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 2 years ago.
Of it is moving, adjustment is possible, just tighten the cable, or re-position the clamped end to get more travel.
