ok great. Perhaps something got messed up during the install. Why dont we try a repair?

Heres how:

Hover the cursor in the bottom left of the screen to produce the Start Menu image. Right-Click to bring up the Start Context Menu. Click Programs and Features.

Locate Microsoft Office in the list and then click uninstall\change up at the top. An office install box will come up and repair is one of the options. Choose that and let it run through the process. After this is done try Word and Outlook again.

If that works then great! Don't forget to rate! If not, just reply and we will keep working on this until it is resolved.

Thanks!

Not too sure what you mean by words - Start Context/Menu and the check Programmes & Feature. Not what is on my screen

Sorry for being so dumb!

No worries. If you move youre mouse to the bottom left a small picture of the start menu appears. Right click on that and a small menu will appear and on that menu will be programs and features. Click that and a new box will appear.

Getting there. When I clicked the Office line it only gives the uninstall option ( which would remove it - - nothing said about repair. Next move??

Paul - still feeling a bit dumb.

When you click uninstall up at the top what happens?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Don't fancy clicking uninstall at the Office programme line as it states this would delete it.

There do not seem to be any other options.

This is a run down of what we are trying to accomplish. Do you see any of this?

I found it and performed the ' short' repair version. That made no difference - the problem still exists!!. I'll try the longer repair version and see what that does. Thanks for your time anyway.

No worries. Do that repair and let me know what happens. If it doesnt fix it we can ofcourse continue :)
Expert:  ChrisC replied 4 years ago.
How did that work for you?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Application of your advice made no difference - still have the problem. Must be something outside of the Office software that is affecting it.

Hmm..

In this case I am out of ideas. I will opt out and let annother tech have a look at this one. You should get a reply shortly :)
