Hi there, I am here to assist you today, when it keeps shutting down, do you get any error message please? And has this just started happening or did it start after you upgraded to 8.1?
No error message received. It happened before 8.1 then seem to sort itself and then happened again after 8.1
So it literally just closes and that is it?
ok, can you please go to the following folder and run scanpst.exe and tell me what happens, we will then have to monitor Outlook to see if it continues
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15
you will find "scanpst.exe" in there
and you will then need to browse to your pst file to run it, with outlook closed
the file, might be in c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 15 also
Cannot see scanpst.exe in ther.
try c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 15
right click "run as administrator"
Says windows cannot find c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 15
if you browse to it in windows explorer
then program files etc
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15
Got Office 15 but no scanpst.exe
ok, i will see about uploading it for you and then you can run it, will take a little time, in the meantime, could you please run a repair on the office installation from control panel?
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features
then select office 2013 and change, then the repair option and reboot please?
in the meantime i will try to get this uploaded for you so you can look at that as well, if you can give me 15 mins or so, i will update this for you?
Got Office 15 via program etc but no scanpst.exe file visible.

have you downloaded the scanpst.exe on the laptop?
I think you have an installation problem with the office software, i'll have to opt out of this for another expert to look at remotely for you
