Resolved Question:

IE Takes ages to open, often fails and often 'freezes' for no apparent reason and I often cannot open my mail at outlook. This problem has steadily become worse over the last 2 to 3 months.
Can you help

Ok

We need to do a reset of Internet Explorer

To do this

1) Close all open Internet Explorer Windows
2) Open One Internet Explorer window
3) click the tools or settings Wheel top Right
4) Click Internet options > then the Advanced tab > then Click Reset and Reset again.
5)Close internet Explorer and re-open and see if you still have the Issue


Then test - if you still have an issue then do this

Go to :

http://www.firefox.com

Download and Install Firefox -

Firefox is a browser like Internet Explorer , But faster and More secure.

Once Installed open Firefox and see if you have the same issue in Firefox

Thanks for advice but unfortunately it does not appear to be working - Still taking ages to startup and then stops responding and freezes the screen. Most times Only part of the IE home screen appears. Have not tried Firefox yet.

Sorry for the delay. Using my other Computer as the problem Dell Computer is still giving same problems when trying to connect to internet. It freezes and also will not open link to my email.


 


Just tried again to open Hotmail.com on Dell computer - system frozen ? ?

Yes, this seems better than before - just need to get used to using Firefox and try accessing other sites etc for full confirmation of it working satisfactorily.
