Suddenly, my drop-down box (for favourites for example) always

Suddenly, my drop-down box (for favourites for example) always takes me down to the last one and will not let me click on the top few. Similarly, when trying to put in a date from drop-down boxes, it reverts to the 31st December. Any ideas?
