Hi. Downloaded Adobe Shockplayer to our Vostro laptop, removed

Resolved Question:

Hi.
Downloaded Adobe Shockplayer to our Vostro laptop, removed add ons and menu bar, this altered the link to the internet. Could no longer get on line. Attempted to send computer back to factory condition.This resulted in a Recovery E division. Tried again to overwrite the C drive and ended up with a new D drive. Abandoned hope and am now sending out an SOS.
Would like to remove divisions and mend internet connection

- Hit Enter
- In the black window, type the following and press Enter: ipconfig
- Press Enter
- What is shown for the IP Address, Subnet Mask & Default Gateway?
- In the black window, type the following and press Enter: ping 4.2.2.3
- What does it say, replies or request timed outs?
- In the black box, type the following and press Enter: ping red.com
- What does it say, replies or request timed outs?

When you try and access a webpage, what happens?

A page appears which says the connection may be busy.

On my home page my talktalk address is substituted by an unknown address

Please, perform the following steps:
- Click the Start button
- Type: inetcpL.cpL
- Press the Enter key on the keyboard
- Click the Connections tab
- Click the "Never dial a connection" option if possible.
- Click the Lan Settings button.
- Uncheck all boxes on that window.
- Click Ok
- Click Ok.
Go to www.Red.com
On that page what do you see? You should be all set now.
