Yesterday I loaded windows 10 onto my laptop with version windows

Customer Question

Yesterday I loaded windows 10 onto my laptop with version windows 7 being the original program. My family tree contains information installed in the late 1980's using the original Banner Blue with successive updates. I have Windows !0 disc plus Family tree Maker 2226A.
I am now unable to access my family trees, simply getting the FTM logo and the message version 10 was not shut down properly, go to tools and compact the last file

Hello,

I will be the person helping you today.

I can see that you may need a little bit of extra help.

May I ask if you still need help with this problem? If so, may I start a screen sharing session on your computer and help you resolve the problem?

Once the remote session begins, we will be able to communicate via a chat window on your computer.

Thank you,
Jason
