I have just upgraded to Windows 10. As well as losing all

I have just upgraded to Windows 10. As well as losing all my archived email, I now can only get email through Outlook.com online. (I have set this up.) However, I can't go directly from my desktop and I have to put in a password ***** time. Is there anything I can do about this ? I suppose my past emails are lost forever. I also find the clock resets to what I assume is California time, despite my attempts to change it.

ok, I understand you are using outlook.com online, but which email program from your desktop do you wish to use? And what goes wrong when you try?
I can see you are a first time user to the site. What we do here is either a question and answer type of conversation or remote support where I would actually connect to the computer and have a look and attempt to fix the problem for you.
Remote support can save a lot of time if you are not comfortable performing repairs yourself. Sometimes even with instructions you can make a mistake and make things worse.
