I use Gmail and its calendar, mainly on a PC. A hotel

Resolved Question:

I use Gmail and its calendar, mainly on a PC. A hotel reservation has just appeared on my calendar which has nothing to do with me. It says: "This event was automatically created from an email", but using the keywords of place names, there is nothing existing in my Gmail account which matches this reservation.
Could you explain how this happened?

When you get an email with a Calnder event imbedded in the email, it can be placed on YOUR calendar if you click on it, or if you have the settings to automatically add events to your calendar if they are in your emails.

This might be a spam email, that you accidently clicked on?

It could be a glitch in Gmail server?

It could be a number of different variables that could cause this to happen.

.

The best remedy is to just remove it from your calendar, if you dont want it.

Look for any information ABOUT the event that could lead you to the original email.....if possible.

.

I can look in your computer for you, as being a computer investigator isnt the easiet thing to instruct somebody else to do.
