Santander Bank in Spain has charged 900 € to open a current

Resolved Question:

Santander Bank in Spain has charged 900 € to open a current account because a bankers draft (drawn on a large bank in Canada) was used to open the account. The bankers cheque was '000 €. They refuse to re-imburse the 900 now the account is open. Do they have a legal right to do this?

You should ask to the bank the contract you have sign to open the account and read on it the comission fees they can charge and if they have charged the correct one

José M. :

In all cases you could denounce the facts to the Banco De España. Banco the España have a claim office to denoince abusses of the spanish banks Its free and they will study the case and could force them to give your money bank aand even to fine them

José M. :

In all cases the claim must be guided to the Banco de Santander first, contact them, ask signed contract and the comission fees and once readen ask official claim sheet, fill it up and wait answer

José M. :

If they do not answer you, you could put the claim at the Banco de España
