I have just come off the telephone, as wanted to ask about

Resolved Question:

I have just come off the telephone, as wanted to ask about child tax credits. While speaking the person said that in 2007, they had a record I was claiming in this period. I never received those credits, but forgot to ask more about this to person I was speaking to. How do I find out where the payments went to?

Hello, I'm Keith and happy to help you with your question.

I would advise you to write a letter to the Tax Credit Office refuting any suggestion that you claimed child tax credits in 2007 and requesting details of the payments. This is the sort of item I would never discuss on the telephone. You should also emphasise your current claim as it may have been overlooked in the conversation between you an the HMRC official.

The address of the Tax Credit Office is:

Tax Credit Office

Preston

PR1 4AT

I do hope I have helped, but you must sort this problem out.
