I am 65 and deferred my uk state pension at 6o. I hope to work for few more years,if I leave my lump sum until I retire how much tax will I have to pay on the lump sum. I am a 20percent tax payer. When I retire my income will be state pension plus private pension of aporox 5k per annum. To be honest I did not realise that the state pension was taxable.thank you lynda
