Am I right in thinking that indexation relief on the sale of property is limited to companies and is not available to individuals for capital gains tax purposes

Hi.

You are correct. Indexation relief was frozen at 5 April 1998 and, along with taper relief, was withdrawn for individuals with effect from 6 April 2008. Companies still get indexation allowance. Take a look here for more information.
