Hi I pay into the company pension scheme a % of my salary and the company also contributes a %. when filling in my self assessment do I claim back the income tax on my contributions?

You would have been given tax relief at source within your tax payable on salary less pension contributions and therefore you don't claim back the income tax on your contributions on the tax return.
