Customer Question

I am employed by someone else as a paye employee and also own a limited company.I took a small dividend out of my company on the 16/06/15. Have I missed the deadline to fill in a self assessment form and what is the punishment for not declaring it in time? Thanks,
Mark

Hi.

If the dividend was paid on 16 June 2015 that was in the 2015/16 tax year and you have until 31 January 2017 to submit your 2016 tax return to HMRC.

I hope this helps but let me know if you have any further questions.
