You will get indexation relief if the shop is owned by a limited company and not by you personally. Look here for the tables. Indexation and taper relief were withdrawn for individuals with effect from 6 April 2008 in lieu of a big cut in the rate of CGT from 40% (for higher rate taxpayers) to 18%.
