Hello
We training providers and are also VAT registered under a private limited company. We have an Advance Learner Loan contract. Please can you confirm the VAT status on these?

Hello, I am Keith, one of the experts on Just Answer, and pleased to be able to help you with your question.

Vocational training and education services are exempt from VAT. They do not count towards any VAT Turnover Threshold.

I do hope that I have been able to set your mind at rest on this matter.

Hi Keith, even for the Advance learner loans?

Loans are outside the scope of VAT.

Also you able to send me a hyperlink for the information please?

You don't charge VAT on loans, never ever have.

Thank you for the information. Could you possibly send me the link to HMRC for this?

I cannot. loans have never formed part of the VAT regime since the tax was implemented in the early 70s.
