When jump starting a Previa (2004) should the negative lead

Customer Question

When jump starting a Previa (2004) should the negative lead be attached to the battery or another earthing point away from the dead battery?

Hi..

Hopefully I can help..

You can attach the negative/black lead to the battery negative terminal or preferably any good metal earthing point like a bolt or solid bracket/mounting on the engine itself or the lifting hook on the engine if you can see one and ensure it is properly attached..if you don't get a good contact then you can use the negative terminal on the battery..If the battery is really or completely flat..then it would be wise removing it and charge it off the car using a trickle charger..I do hope this helps
