Resolved Question:

Had a clutch fitted to an Avensis 18oocc late 2007, petrol. Smelt burning from day 1. Clutch only did 10000 miles.Any comments?

Hello I'd say its possible the clutch has been fitted baack to front so the friction plate position is too high and so its in a state of constant slipeither that or the clutch parts are the incorrect specification and so they are too tall an installed height so the slave cylinder would be pre-loaded and opening the clutch slightlyI'd say the next step is to remove the gearbox
