i was outside a shop just got into my car my door was about 90% closed car comes up from behind me overtake me at less than 3ft from my car and colides with the closing door causing the car to shunt forward my car was written off the other insurance company are holding me at fault i just want to know if the other driver was at fault because you need to be a required distance when passing a stationary vehicle has the other driver comitted a road traffic offence if so what? because i believe they have

no they are waiting on an answer from me as i told them i would get more infomation from a traffic lawyer also my partner &son got paid for injuries from my insurance company & i may lose my injury claim if found at fault the other driver has had 2 previous accidents & has not long passed there test they kept apoligising for hitting my car surley that is an atmittal to liability my parner is my witness to everything the other driver has said i was told i could use her in a court case in litigation if the other side did not pay out up until now it was going well in my favour
