I was issued with a parking ticket because the ticket m/c

Customer Question

Hi. I was issued with a parking ticket because the ticket m/c I tried to use was out of order and I used the nearest alternative m/c which was only a few yards from where I parked. I beknown to me the m/c I used was controlled by Warwickshire CC but the faulty m/c was controlled by Warwickshire CC Sheffield which I suspect is a private subcontractor. They issued me with a £50 penalty for failing to display a valid ticket.
I feel very aggrieved as I did my best to park legally.
There are other mitigating circumstances.
Is this worth fighting ?

Thank you for your question. My name is ***** ***** I will try to help with this.
Is the local council the issuer?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Both the original PCN and the Notice to Owner were issued by Warwickshire CC Parking dept SHEFFIELD. I understand that the council have subcontracted on street parking to them but retain car parks in house.

Ok.
what is the contravention code please? Usually in the top left of the parking fine.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Two codes appear - The PCN ZQ00110348

and a PIN No. 80E510

Are either of these what you want ?

No.
Usually the contravention code is marked under that heading.
