Customer Question

My wife has just been charged with drink driving. It is her first offence. The breath reading was 67. She works part time as a free lance interior designer and has to travel to site meetings; public transport will be difficult for this. She also takes our 6 year son to school every day and to clubs and after school activities for all of which she uses a car not public transport. I work full time and cannot do this. Do you think there is any chance of getting the disqualification period reduced? What is the likely fine?

Many thanks for your help. To summarise, mandatory ban min 12 mths; bracket for 67 = 17 to 22. Fine 75-125% of weekly income. No special reasons. May get ban lower than 17 months on grounds of hardship. May be worth being represented.Very clear and helpful: thank you.
