Hitachi 50SBX70B rear projection set. Suddenly went from perfect picture and sound to power up and immediately shut down. I suspect a cap, but don't know where to start.

Already Tried:
Unplugged set for a period of time. Plugged in and tried power switch. Click, red power LED comes on, fades out and set is dead. If I unplug and plug back in: board LEDs are lit until I press power button.

I checked the Hitachi troubleshooting list & it shows for your symptom, the following culprit

 

Symptom: Dead, power indicator comes on momentarily.
Cause: E994 AZ00104M fuse open, caused by shorted C707(NNN) NNN-NNNN1000 pf 2KV Cap.
