I have a Panasonic TH-37PE30 and am trying to get it to display

Customer Question

I have a Panasonic TH-37PE30 and am trying to get it to display the same picture as my PC. I have a splitter cable attached to the VGA port on the PC, with another VGA-SCART cable to link it to the TV. However I cannot get the TV to display any picture at all! Meanwhile the PC monitor display is working fine, also connected via the splitter cable. Does the display depend on the video card in the PC or is there a special setting I need in the TV?

Hello Robert! Thank you for your question. I will be assisting you today.

I'm sorry about the issue. Do you have windows xp, vista, or 7?

Have you gone into the TV menu, and set the TV source/input to PC or VGA, etc.?

If you remove the monitor, then connect the TV using the monitor's cable, does it work?

Please let me know. Thank you.

OK I've got it all to work by using the splitter cable connected to the PC input on the TV as well as the monitor. Ideally I'd like to use the SCART input because its concealed at the back of the TV.

Which SCART socket should I use and how do I change to settings to cater for that? I can't find the right settings on the menu options!

The OS on the PC is Windows XP

The PC port is designed for the PC/computer:

I'm sorry, I don't think the SCART socket would work with a PC. From the manual on page 8, it shows the SCART is for DVD/vcr recorder and satellite receiver.
