Hi morning My TV as no sound or image since yesterday.

Hi morning

My TV as no sound or image since yesterday. I was looking at Toshiba places and when trying to exit to TV screen seems stopped there. I know the TV is on because I see a green like but I can't operate from the remote control and I changed the batteries too or the TV at the back. Was switch off all night from the socket but still nothing, looking at the manual not even a reset I can do because I can't access the menu is a complete black/blue screen.

Hi my TV model is 40RL953 LED smart TV and I've got it since December.


 


The light is not blinking is just green goes off when the socket is unplugged

Okay, this sounds indeed like a fault within the TV itself, as there are no settings or adjustments that will prevent the TV's internal MENU from displaying on the screen when MENU is pressed. Let's try a hard reset of the TV. Please disconnect the set from power, then press and hold the power button on the TV itself for 10 seconds. After a minute, plug the set back in and press power once. Do you have the same problem?

nothing works...TV is on same green light with a blue/black screen

I'm sorry to hear that. Does pressing MENU, Input or Volume bring up anything at all on the screen?

no nothing, completely frozen

Unfortunately this does indicate a component level failure inside the set, and there are no resets or adjustments that will correct this issue. The TV will require warranty service at this point, and I would recommend contacting the Retailer to locate the nearest Authorized Toshiba Service Center to have the set repaired. I wish I had better news, but there is nothing we can do at this point to correct this issue.
