Hello, we have had our LG LCD 47 inch tv for about 3 years.

Customer Question

Hello, we have had our LG LCD 47 inch tv for about 3 years. Over the last couple of days, the screen has gone really dark and faded. On the right hand side of the screen about an 1/8th of the way, the image has completely disappeared. It looks as though the middle may go too. Can you please advice on what the problem could be and can it be fixed? we are a little shocked that a TV would go so soon. We work Mon-Fri so it's not really used until the evenings and weekends
Many thanks

Thank you

Does it do this from when you power up the TV, or only after it's been on for a while please?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Its the same as soon as you turn it on and even if you leave it to warm up for a while.

Thank you againI'm guessing that when you press the menu button on your TV remote control that the menu is also faded on the screen?I ask this because the menu is the last visual item generated before the T-Con board and the panel itself.
