Digital TV recorder does not go on standby

Digital TV recorder does not go on standby

Hi there,

When the TVonics digital TV recorder is unable to turn on to standby, this is usually because of a fault in the power supply circuitry.

Faulty capacitors are the most common cause of this problem, although it's possible that some other electronic components in the power circuitry may also have failed.

The cause of the problem can only be confirmed by carrying out some electronic tests on the components inside the recorder to determine which ones have failed.

Once diagnosed, the faulty parts can be replaced by an electronics repair technician.
