Hello, my name is Shahid, I'll be happy to assist you.
Please allow me to ask you a few questions to diagnose the problem.

- APS means automatic program system or some thing else?
- Can you please elaborate how you delete it in TV?

Thanks.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

APS is as you correctly say, ie the initial settings automatically loaded onto the TV when new and you turn it on for the first time.

We had horrific high winds overnight and that took out the Sky box, etc. I was trying to set the TV to terrestrial TV and ended up with 'no signal' being displayed. I tried what I thought was the APS but all it did was delete all the programme settings.

Thanks Richard for the reply.

Please press Menu on TV remote to get menu screen then go to Program tab and press Blue button on remote to get APS screen and press Red button to start channel scan in TV, this is the APS screen that you get on first time power up the TV.

Now if TV still doesn't find/ scan any terrestrial channel then it would be defective tuner in TV which is also sensitive part like Sky box and storm or lightning static charge can damage it.

I trust my input will help you out. Please feel free to respond if you have any additional questions.
A positive rating to answer would be greatly appreciated!
Regards,

Shahid.

Shahid,

Your instructions looked vaguely familiar and indeed they were as this was exactly the procedure that got me into this mess in the first place. Needless to say, this has not worked. Any other ideas?

I'm sorry Richard, this is the only option to get initial setup screen in this TV, please check Aerial wire is plugged securely in aerial jack at back of TV, if still no TV channel appears then Tuner of TV is suspected and causing the problem and need to replace.

Alternatively, get a set top box to use its tuner and connect its audio-video output in TV to watch terrestrial TV channels, please check following link to view set top box info..

This way you wont need to take TV in repair shop for tuner replacement.
I trust my input will help you out. Please feel free to respond if you have any additional questions.
Thank you.

Shahid.
