I have just purchased a Samsung UE32F6510. Am I connecting

Resolved Question:

I have just purchased a Samsung UE32F6510. Am I connecting it correctly?

I have a Tivo box connected to the incoming Virgin TV cable. From the Tivo is a HDMI cable that I have connected to 'HDMI in 1' on the TV. A Scart lead then connects the Tivo to a Sony DVD player/recorder. From the recorder another Scart lead goes to the Scart connection on the Tv. Also from the recorder another cable links to the Air/Cable socket on the Tv This cable is coming from a socket marked 'Analogue Out'. Should that come from the socket marked 'Digital out'?

I can get TV channels by using the Virgin supplied remote but am getting somewhat confused setting up the Smart Hub functions.

I thought to be sure I have made the correct connections as a first step.

Hoping you can help

Hi James, sorry to hear you're having trouble,

It sounds like your connectiosn are just fine, however you have some redundant connections here. The only link from tivo to tv needed is the hdmi. You do not need the air/cable connection, though if you wish to use that, I'd use the digital out one.

The smart hub functions are an entirely different part of the tv, and unrelated to the tivo or virgin service. For that, you'd need to have a wifi connection, and go into the samsung setup menu to establish a link from tv to the internet. You can then use the smarthub for things like watching netflix or other streaming video services and apps.
