What you sent is the model of an onkyo receiver. The tv would be something like TC-L65WT600

It looks like the process you're using is pretty much it so far,
the recording function of this tv was a bit of an afterthought, as most people don't use these sets just with an aerial, which is the primary recording source. Most users would have a cable/satellite box with a built in dvr function, so they put very little into the recording design
you can do the manual recordings,
the only real alternative is if you have a guide function that will come up, dependant on guide data being broadcast in your area, you can highlight a selection within the guide and press record on it
This is something that could be potentially addressed in a future firmware update
but because this is a relatively new model, I wouldn't expect anything for some time

either a standalone tuner with the capability of connecting an external drive
or an all in one dvr system with a built in drive,
either would suit the purpose
The negative there though is that it wouldn't be 4k
really though, it is unlikely that you have any 4k broadcasts anyway
It won't help for now, but if/when enough people complain, they will hopefully address the lacking features in a future update
