I have recently purchased a Samsung 32 inch Smart TV.
UE32F5500.
I cannot get the picture right. The default settings are too bright and in your face. There seems no depth of colour and the adverts seem washed out.

A few months ago from ***** *****. I am basically happy with it and at times I feel I have cracked it and the picture is good.

The colour is always better when played back through my Samsung recorder.

I really need some advice regarding which settings to try.

Firstly I understand entirely what you are saying and you have tried the custom settings?that means setting it to your own liking and altering the settings accordingly instead of being fixed like dynamic mode?

If you have then you are simply not happy with the set and it may be that its faulty, it may well be, I think you should either get it checked out by a technician under warranty or get the set swapped because you are never going to be happy with it,when I say it could be faulty this is possible as the tcon board that drives the LCD display may not be calibrated correctly.

Any expert should have been able to tell me that I had a support facility on the TV with the ability to have a technician remotely control my TV for free. In desperation I came upon this service myself. They upgraded my software. It is looking a whole lot better already.


 


You took more than 5 hours, charged me £20.00 and didn't really do a thing.

I checked for a software upgrade at samsung but did not see one for your set have you given me the full model number I may have been able to track it, its the first thing we do with ANY issue on a TV.
In many cases their is not a upgrade available
