OK so I am assuming that its just when recording BBC 1 that you have no sound?or do you have no sound from BBC 1 anyhow?on normal TV?

OK I will need the model number of the player\recorder too you are using when you get that please try a reboot of the box by unplugging the box from the wall waiting 5 mins then re-plugging back in again, it will be a good idea to do the same with the TV at the same time
