First of all yes, you should be able to change the menu language to any of 27 different languages.
I think the best thing to do is to start over and do a reset of the TV, then make sure you change the language when the TV goes through the initial setup
here is the english version of the manual. Way down on page 114 or so it talks about self diagnosis... menu->support-Self diagnosis.... you should also be able to do the factory reset (page 115) do that and
